Terri McKinnis started her banking career in 1981 as a teller for Savings & Loans. Back in those days, she recalls that the tellers used to wear uniforms, have fresh cookies out each day for their clients, and give away china for opening new accounts.
To this day, delivering a high standard of client service continues to be a priority for Terri as The Commerce Bank of Oregon’s Chief Operating Officer.
Terri’s primary responsibilities as Chief Operating Officer include overseeing Operations, Compliance, Client Service, Treasury Management and Human Resources – in addition to many other tasks (large and small) that come about in working in a small bank.
Terri is a native Oregonian, having lived and worked in Portland for most of her life. With over 30 years of banking experience she spent several years at US Bank serving as Vice President and Manager of Credit Card Customer Service and later moved into the role of Vice President and Manager in 24 Hour Customer Service. Prior to joining The Commerce Bank of Oregon, she was Vice President and Manager of Treasury Management for Umpqua Bank.
Terri is a member of The Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) of Oregon & SW Washington.
Terri enjoys supporting her son’s youth sporting activities, relaxing on the covered porch at her home in the country, and taking trips to Eastern Oregon with her husband on their Harley Davidson motorcycle.
