Much like the rainy season in Portland, Mary Tachera’s smile rarely lets up. It’s the kind of smile that you can hear through the phone, all cheerful and easy like. In 2009, Mary drove through four states to move from Minnesota to Oregon, and was met with one of the worst Portland rainy seasons in history – and she probably smiled through it. It’s Mary’s sunny disposition and sincere dedication to her Clients that make for a truly exceptional Client Service Representative we’re delighted to have on our team.
Mary’s role as the Client Service Supervisor at The Commerce Bank of Oregon, involves day-to-day operations, supporting her wonderful team, and helping Clients meet their daily banking needs. Before joining The Commerce Bank of Oregon, Mary gained five years of banking experience working in various roles at the Guaranty Bank in Minneapolis, MN. Starting as a teller and moving her way up to an Assistant Branch Manager, Mary eventually led a small team to excel in sales and customer service.
Mary joined The Commerce Bank of Oregon because she enjoys the culture and mindset of smaller banks – where everyone works together to help the bank and it’s Clients grow and thrive.
Mary is on the Board of Directors for Zimbabwe Artist’s Project. In her spare time, she also enjoys going on adventures with her fiancé. They bike, hike, spelunk, tube, pick berries, frolic at the coast, and work on small projects around the house.
Our outstanding staff with their diverse background and skills extends the depth of our bankers' experience.
